what were the founding fathers thinking mixing politics and impeachment?

what were the founding fathers thinking?

despite the "whys and wherefores", mixing politics and impeachment doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

maybe the answer is to have a more nonpartisan, independent thinking electorate.

nah, that'll never happen!

had enough?

to fix our dysfunctional government is simple and easy--stop voting for  republican and democratic party candidates, including incumbents.

voting for a republican or a democrat is a vote for their party.

even with their billion dollar donors, if voters don't vote for republicans and democrats, then the republican and democratic parties will shrivel up and die.

once the republican and democratic parties are gone, and lobbyists are rendered powerless, then much-needed changes to the constitution can be made--like "no taxation without representation", a.k.a. powerful national politicians that 99+ percent of american voters didn't vote for (e.g., pelosi, mcconnell, republican and democratic party bosses, etc.).

in the next election--national, state or local--vote for your local (state/county) representatives. hopefully, some day, when the republican party, the democratic party, antiquated party rules and lobbyists are gone, and the constitution has been amended, then we'll ALL be able to vote for our national leaders.

nothing will be better for our country.

the same goes for the news media--stop patronizing biased news media that lobby for the republican and democratic parties instead of reporting the news factually and truthfully. they'll go out of business. nothing will be better for the USA.

science vs. politics

science is the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.

scientific method is a method of procedure that has characterized natural science since the 17th century, consisting in systematic observation, measurement, and experiment, and the formulation, testing, and modification of hypotheses.

histrionics is NOT science. histrionics is politics.
politics is emotion based--NOT truth based.
one can be a politician without any particular qualifications or experience.

you can't say that they didn't warn us.

the other trump

WV MetroNews Resolution to add Frederick County, Va. to West Virginia passes Senate - WV MetroNews

"In addition to the historical connections between Frederick County and the seven counties of our Eastern Panhandle, there are strong bonds and ties of every kind among the citizens – family, business, education, culture, and commerce. We share common values,” Senator Trump said. “Frederick County’s residents have so much in common with West Virginia that our separation has never made sense."

"I’ve heard mixed things,” Senator Trump said when asked about the response from Frederick County. “I mean they’ve read it and they’ve said it’s very touching. The resolution is just really an expression of our affection and a recognition of our joint history with Frederick County. So far, no one has taken offense to it at least that they’ve expressed to me.”

when have you heard of a politician doing something out of the goodness of his heart--with no ulterior motives?

it seems that charles trump has something in common with donald. they're both full of blarney.

USA: our elected and non-elected representatives have failed us

in 1939 in united states v. presser, the SCOTUS upheld a federal law that regulated sawed off shotguns.
https://billofrightsinstitute.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/The-Bill-of-Rights-for-Real-Life-Full-Text.pdf

since 1949 there have been 26 deadly mass shootings in the US with more than 500 dead and many more wounded, including:
  • University of Texas tower shooting, 1966, Austin, Texas, 16 dead
  • San Ysidro McDonald's massacre, 1984, San Diego, California, 21 dead
  • Columbine High School massacre, 1999, Columbine, Colorado, 21 dead
  • Virginia Tech shooting, 2007, Blacksburg, Virginia, 32 dead
  • Fort Hood shooting, 2009, Killeen, Texas, 14 dead
  • Aurora theater shooting, 2012, Aurora, Colorado, 12 dead
  • Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, 2012, Newtown, Connecticut, 27 dead
  • Washington Navy Yard shooting, 2013, Washington, D.C., 12 dead
  • San Bernardino attack, 2015, San Bernardino, California, 14 dead
  • Orlando nightclub shooting, 2016, Orlando, Florida, 49 dead
  • Sutherland Springs church shooting, 2017, Sutherland Springs, Texas, 26 dead
  • Las Vegas shooting, 2017, Paradise, Nevada, 58 dead (851 wounded)
  • Santa Fe High School shooting, 2018, Santa Fe, Texas, 10 dead
  • Pittsburgh synagogue shooting, 2018, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 11 dead
  • Thousand Oaks shooting, 2018, Thousand Oaks, California, 12 dead
  • Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, 2018, Parkland, Florida, 17 dead
  • Virginia Beach shooting, 2019, Virginia Beach, Virginia, 12 dead
  • El Paso Walmart shooting, 2019, El Paso, Texas, 22 dead

most of the perpetrators in these mass shootings used semi-automatic rifles and pistols--better known as assault weapons.

"Some studies indicate that the rate at which public mass shootings occur has tripled since 2011. Between 1982 and 2011, a mass shooting occurred roughly once every 200 days. However, between 2011 and 2014, that rate has accelerated greatly with at least one mass shooting occurring every 64 days in the United States. ... In recent years, the number of public mass shootings has increased substantially..."

question: if in 1939 in the united states v. presser, the SCOTUS upheld a federal law regulating sawed off shotguns, then why hasn't our government passed laws regulating assault weapons?

answer: clearly, our elected and non-elected representatives have failed us.

things that don't make sense

  • the media calling a person "alledged" when the crime is on video
  • law enforcement authorities and the media claiming that a "motive" is needed to bring a criminal to justice
  • mass shootings
  • assault weapons for civilians (military & law enforcement only)
  • distinguishing between normal and moron when it comes to crimes, e.g. murder is murder
  • failing to bring criminals to justice
  • US in iraq
  • US failing to hammer iran & n korea
  • the national debt
  • "break the bank" proposals from candidates for public office
  • politicians' "pork"
  • nancy pelosi's & mitch mcconnell's power when 99+% of US voters didn't vote for them
  • the HOR passing articles of impeachment and failing to send them to the US Senate as the constitution requires

this is just for starters. there are many, MANY more things that don't make sense with our government.

had enough?

who do you trust?
   - the republican and democratic parties that are financed by billionaire corporations and billionaire PACs that supply us with the candidates for public office?
   - biased news media?
