the "two-party system" of government is ruining the USA

the republican and democratic parties are ruining this country. one party doesn't want the other party to get the credit for fixing government, so it's the status quo--year after year after year after year.

had enough?

to fix our dysfunctional government is simple and easy--stop voting for  republican and democratic party candidates, including incumbents.

voting for a republican or a democrat is a vote for their party.

even with their billion dollar donors, if voters don't vote for republicans and democrats, then the republican and democratic parties will shrivel up and die.

once the republican and democratic parties are gone, and lobbyists are rendered powerless, then much-needed changes to the constitution can be made--like "no taxation without representation", a.k.a. powerful national politicians that 99+ percent of american voters didn't vote for (e.g., pelosi, mcconnell, republican and democratic party bosses, etc.).

in the next election don't vote for republicans or democrats. hopefully, some day, when the republican party, the democratic party, antiquated party rules and lobbyists are gone, and the constitution has been amended, then we'll ALL be able to vote for candidates who represent us--not their party.

nothing will be better for our country.

the same goes for the news media--stop patronizing biased news media that lobby for the republican and democratic parties instead of reporting the news factually and truthfully. they'll go out of business. nothing will be better for the USA.

can comrade bernie sanders be elected POTUS?

if trump can get elected POTUS, then comrade bernie sanders can get elected POTUS. that's scary! (lowering the voting age makes it even more scary. give them candy, and they'll vote for ANYONE!)

what would be worse than giving up our freedom to government? a government "of the government, by the government and for the government"?

strasburg VA's riverwalk needs safety, security and maintenance before new trees

strasburg VA's riverwalk

in 3 years I've never seen riverwalk being policed. lack of safety/security (video surveillance, etc.) and limited sight distances are legitimate safety concerns--along with protection from those who fire a shotgun from a boat in the shenandoah river only feet away*. also, posted dog leash and clean-up-after-your-dog signs need to be enforced.

what were the founding fathers thinking mixing politics and impeachment?

what were the founding fathers thinking?

despite the "whys and wherefores", mixing politics and impeachment doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

maybe the answer is to have a more nonpartisan, independent thinking electorate.

nah, that'll never happen!

science vs. politics

science is the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.

scientific method is a method of procedure that has characterized natural science since the 17th century, consisting in systematic observation, measurement, and experiment, and the formulation, testing, and modification of hypotheses.

histrionics is NOT science. histrionics is politics.
politics is emotion based--NOT truth based.
one can be a politician without any particular qualifications or experience.
