widespread panic is sweeping the US today as voters realize that there's no one to tell them how to vote. Bear Brettman from Foxy News is reporting that with the sudden decline of the republican and democratic parties and the news media after the 2020 election that voters realize that they have no one to tell them how to vote. 

110-year old candidate for president Bettie Warren said from Iowa, "I knew this would happen. If I had been elected president in 2020, then my $898 bazillion "comprehensive-health-care-for-all-the-world" program would have provided the entire world with the name of the person to vote for in 2024--

ME!"  

meanwhile congresswoman COA called on congress to begin immediate impeachment proceedings against president Sandy Burner. Blitz Wolfman of NNC reported that the FBI has contacted consultant Vladimir Putinski to find out how to file a FISA court application for a warrant--since no one at the FBI knows how to do so. Putinski was quoted as saying that he already knows who will assume the presidency when president burner is impeached--

"ME!"

gun spokesman Vain Pierre released a statement calling for all americans to grab their assault weapons and join the panicked voters in the streets. Pierre said, "we must protect our 2nd amendment rights to own assault weapons", adding:

"CHARGE!"

finally, scores of cable and internet TV outlets announced that a new reality show, "voting in america", will be released soon.

pelosi and mcconnell: powerful national politicians that 99+ percent of americans didn't vote for

no sane person would argue that speaker of the house and senate majority leader aren't two of the most powerful positions in the federal government. how representative of the american people are two national politicians that 99+ percent of americans didn't vote for? in a democracy? 

• kentucky's mcconnell got 806,787 votes in his last election (2014). 
• california's 12th congressional district representative pelosi got 275,292 votes in her last election (2018). 
• approximately 138,847,000 voters voted in the 2016 presidential election. 

• 806,787/138,847,000 = 0.00581
• 275,292/138,847,000 = 0.00198

granted that in a national election, mcconnell and pelosi would get some votes outside their respective kentucky and san francisco, but enough to win a national election? 
NO WAY!!! 

pelosi and mcconnell were elected to represent the voters in their state/district. yet, speaker of the house and senate majority leader are major players in our national government. two powerful old timers misrepresenting the vast majority of us. some democracy. needless to say, national leaders should be elected nationally.

even with their billion dollar donors, if voters don't vote for republicans and democrats, then the republican and democratic parties will shrivel up and die.

once the republican and democratic parties are gone, and lobbyists are rendered powerless, then much-needed changes to the constitution can be made--like "no taxation without representation", a.k.a. powerful national politicians that 99+ percent of americans didn't vote for.

in the next election--national, state or local--vote for your local (state/county) representatives. hopefully, some day, when the republican party, the democratic party, antiquated party rules and lobbyists are gone, and the constitution has been amended, then we'll ALL be able to vote for our national leaders.

nothing will be better for our country.

face it--second amendment sanctuaries are stupid.

first, let's take a look at the second amendment to the constitution. Passed by Congress September 25, 1789, and ratified December 15, 1791, the first ten amendments form the Bill of Rights. The second amendment states:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." 

how many people even know what a militia is? for the uneducated masses, a militia is a military force that is raised from the civil population to supplement a regular army in an emergency. 

now let's set the scene. in 1791:

• with Vermont, the US has 14 states
• the US is largely rural, self sufficient farms/plantations. each farm/plantation is largely responsible for their own security, food, shelter, clothing, etc.
• the population of the US, according to the 1790 census, is 3,929,214. Adding 85,000 for Vermont, and one third growth for the other 13 states, in 1791 the total population of the US is approximately 5.3 million people.
• The United States Army traces its origin to the founding of the Continental Army on June 14, 1775, when the Continental Congress authorized a one-year enlistment of riflemen from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia to join the New England militia army besieging Boston. 
• in 1791, the US army was a loose agglomeration of state militias and the continental army.

now let's compare the US 1n 1791 with the US today:

• 228 years have elapsed.
• the US has 50 states.
• in 2018 the estimated population of the US is 327.2 million (6174% increase from 1791). 
• For the 2010 count, the Census Bureau has defined 486 urbanized areas, accounting for 71.2 percent of the U.S. population. 
• unlike 1791, law enforcement (police, etc.) provides local security, assisted by the state and federal governments.
• the US military provides security for the country, assisted by numerous state and federal agencies (DHS, INS, FBI, CIA, NSA, etc.).
• according to the CDC, in 2017, the most recent single year for which complete data is available, 39,773 people died from gun-related injuries in the U.S. (including violent crime, mass shootings, terror, death from assault rifles, etc.).

do we need second amendment sanctuaries? of course not.

do we need gun laws that protect innocent citizens from criminals and irresponsible gun owners? of course we do. 

today, more than 60% of the population support tougher gun control laws. the other 40% are just plain stupid.

2. that the notice may not get to the affected citizen?
3. that some citizens are out-of-town, sometimes for a long time?
4. that public streets must never be completely closed to emergency vehicles?
5. that the town has an obligation to all its citizens to maintain access to homeowners for travel to and from work, scheduled appointments, and wherever they want to go whenever they wish to do so. 
6. that blank spaces for "project manager" and "contact #" isn't informative?
7. that describing the work as "paving" (only) for three separate locations isn't informative?
8. that giving the work period for all three separate locations as one week isn't informative?
9. that outsourcing the public notification to the contractor or anyone else doesn't relieve the town of responsibility of notifying its citizens (as evidenced by the fact that it's on your letterhead)?
10. that other jurisdictions notify affected citizens well in advance of the work by registered mail or other similar means to assure that they are notified?
11. that public streets means that streets are owned by the public, not the town?
12. that public servants means serving the public, not giving orders to and threatening the public?

George Washington was a man of integrity who wanted above all else to be seen as a man motivated by the public good and not personal ambitions. His profound integrity in serving the public was the reason people entrusted him with power during the Revolutionary War and the first presidency.
