one butthead to another butthead. president twitter thinks that he should have left the ucla basketball players in jail.
Trump lashes out at LaVar Ball, says 'should have left' UCLA players in Chinese jail - NBC News
maybe president twitter is right--but, for all the wrong reasons.
they shouldn't have been left in jail for ingratitude to president twitter.
they should have been left in jail because they're adults and shoplifting is a crime. minds of mush: it's time to stop calling 18+ years' olds "kids"
president twitter asking china's president to give the ucla basketball players a pass is wrong on several levels:
- to the rest of the world, it makes all americans more ugly
- to americans, it demonstrates again how "special" people, e.g. star athletes and rich people, get a pass Photos show Trump in military garb before dodging draft - NY Daily News
- president twitter, and america by default, now owe china a favor. we all know from the godfather movies that one good favor requires another in return. the USA shouldn't be left in a position where it's beholding to china for allowing those who broke china's laws to get "off the hook". it's time to stop calling 18+ years' olds "kids"
"The age of majority is the legally defined age at which a person is considered an adult, with all the attendant rights and responsibilities of adulthood. The age of majority is defined by state laws, which vary by state, but is 18 in most states."
'Sorry' isn't good enough for UCLA's shoplifting basketball players – LA Times
So what's behind the recent fraternity hazing incidents on college campuses nationwide? – Los Angeles Times
college "kids"? It's time to stop calling 18+ years' olds "kids". They're adults "with all the attendant rights and responsibilities of adulthood". Grow up. "Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time."

high IQ trump's job approval dips to a new low
"Forty-two percent approve of the job President Trump is doing, while 58 percent say they disapprove, according to the latest Harvard-Harris survey. ...
'Trump has a strong economy and majority support for the job he is doing on the economy — normally enough to shoot any president’s ratings sky high,' said Harvard-Harris co-director Mark Penn. But the intraparty war and dust kicked up on Puerto Rico and his way of responding has people on edge about his leadership. He continues to maintain his tweets work for him despite the evidence they divide critical swing voters from his appeal."

I wish that I could delete the "entertainment" section from google news.

Disney Alum Tiffany Thornton Defends Remarrying After Husband's Death
I don't know who Tiffany Thorton is. frankly, I don't care who Tiffany Thorton is.
why should Tiffany Thorton, whoever she is, have to defend to anyone remarrying two years after her husband died?
is it against the law for a widow to remarry two years after her husband died?
or does the moronic media expect Tiffany Thorton, whoever she is, to ask them, the moronic media, for their permission to remarry?
or is it that her fans expect her to ask for permission from them to remarry?
morons.

beware of modern day pharisees
beware of:
Matthew 23:26
Mark 7 & 12:38-40
Luke 6 & 11:37-54
John 9:40-41
Romans
"The reformer Martin Luther stated that "in chapters 9, 10 and 11, St. Paul teaches us about the eternal providence of God. It is the original source which determines who would believe and who wouldn't, who can be set free from sin and who cannot".[3]*

- modern day pharisees who preach, but don't practice
- priests who sexually abuse children
- church higher-ups who cover it up
- those who are aware of the abuse, but fail to insist on apology, restitution and reform

NFL hypocrisy
"Let me see if I've got this straight: Tomlin -- a Clinton donor and fundraiser -- is upset that Villanueva was not "respectful of our football team" because he decided to honor the country for which he's courageously risked his life by not snubbing the national anthem? This is the display of 'disunity' that bothers Tomlin? If anyone on that roster has earned the right to do what he did, it's Alejandro Villanueva. ... I start to see red when kneeling through the anthem is celebrated as brave heroism, while a genuine American hero is isolated by his team and obliquely criticized by his coach for standing up for saluting the nation and flag he volunteered to serve. That is infuriating.
The real division seems to be between the league and the sports media on one hand, and sports fans who finance the entire industry on the other -- the vast majority of whom side with Villanueva over the anthem sitters ... setting aside the protesting players' disrespect and self-righteousness, as well as the president's demagogic excesses, the exhausting and relentless politicizing of our culture has become intensely aggravating to me as an American and as a sports fan."

US Troops Take Custody of US Citizen Allegedly Fighting for ISIS | Military.com
“Khweis is not a naïve kid who didn’t know what he was doing,” said Dana J. Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, who is also serving as the Acting Assistant Attorney General for National Security. “He is a 27-year-old man who studied criminal justice in college. He strategically planned his travel to avoid law enforcement suspicion, encrypted his communications, and planned for possible alibis. Khweis knew exactly what he was doing, knew exactly who ISIS was, and was well aware of their thirst for extreme violence. Nonetheless, this did not deter him. Instead, Khweis voluntarily chose to join the ranks of a designated foreign terrorist organization, and that is a federal crime, even if you get scared and decide to leave. This office, along with the National Security Division and our investigative partners, are committed to tracking down anyone who provides or attempts to provide material support to a terrorist organization.”

don't blame anyone or anything else--your education is your responsibility
don't blame the schools that you did or didn't go to.
don't blame the teachers that you did or didn't have.
don't blame your parents.
don't blame where you live.
don't blame the church that you did or didn't go to.
don't blame the government.
don't say that you're too busy.
don't say that you're not smart enough.
don't say that you don't have enough money.
"The demise of personal responsibility occurs when individuals blame their family, their peers, their economic circumstances, or their society for their own failure to meet standards."

"The demise of personal responsibility occurs when individuals blame their family, their peers, their economic circumstances, or their society for their own failure to meet standards."
When applied to education, personal responsibility means that students accept the responsibility to study hard and to learn as much as they can in courses that press against the limits of their capacity. For most students, this aspect of personal responsibility means that they must take courses that prepare them for college. Hard work is a must because the single most accurate predictor of college performance is high school grade point average, probably because grades reflect both capacity and hard work. Students who choose not to prepare for college must prepare for the world of work, a goal that also requires strenuous personal effort. Students who do not go to college should enroll in training courses after high school. Without job training, an apprenticeship, or a two-year or four-year degree, most young people are destined to a life of marginal employment and income."
The Sequence of Personal Responsibility

one would think that charlie hebdo would have had enough
Google News
"IN 2012 THE LEFT-WING MAGAZINE PUBLISHED A NAKED CARTOON OF THE PROPHET MOHAMMED"
"THEN IN 2015 A PAIR OF GUNMAN CHARGED THE MAGAZINE'S PARIS OFFICES AND KILLED 12 PEOPLE"
image by Thierry Caro / Jérémie Hartmann
how is Charlie Hebdo's indiscriminate hatred of people unlike themselves any different from that of white supremacist neo-nazi fascists?
answer: it's not.
the vast majority of the people in the world are not extremist haters like charlie hebdo, white supremacists, neo-nazis, fascists, violent criminals, gang bangers, radical islamists, al qaeda, isis, kim jong un, bashar al-assad, etc.
so why is it that the vast majority don't exert their numbers and control the agenda in the world?
ignorance.
you can call it apathy if you wish; but, it all boils down to ignorance.
stand up and be counted.

why not get rid of all laws?
9/17/17
in St. Louis a heroin dealer flees the scene of the crime leading police on a high speed chase through the city endangering lives of drivers and pedestrians using the public streets. some time after the chase ends the police officer shoots and kills the heroin dealer after the police officer's partner yells that the heroin dealer has a gun and the other cop says that the heroin dealer went for the gun.
protesters protest after a judge decides that the police officer is not guilty of first degree murder.
who is ignorant?
- the heroin dealer?
- the cop?
- the judge?
- prosecutors?
- protesters?
- the rest of us?
here's what i believe:
- that the judge isn't ignorant
- that selling heroin is, and should be, a crime
- that a suspect fleeing police driving 87 mph on city streets commits
more crimes that endanger innocent people
- that cops have dangerous jobs
- that our law enforcement system isn't perfect
- that an imperfect justice system is better than no laws
8/30/17
looting, rioting, gang banging, assault, murder, etc.
why not get rid of all laws?
that's what the liberal media would like.
how would you like to live in a world with no laws?
where criminals can steal, vandalize, assault, murder, etc.--whatever and whenever they feel like it?
how would you feel if you were the victim?
congratulations, Tom Llamas. victims of looting, and all law abiding citizens everywhere, thank you for being a responsible citizen.
