we elect republicans and democrats whose polarizing rhetoric and actions have divided our nation into opposing ideological extremes. e.g., donald trump, nancy pelosi, mitch mcconnell, my federal, state and local representatives, your federal, state and local representatives.

to fix our dysfunctional government is simple and easy--stop voting for republican and democratic party candidates, including incumbents.

even with their billion dollar "see crap" donors, if voters don't vote for republicans and democrats, then the republican and democratic parties will shrivel up and die.
once the republican and democratic parties are gone, and PACs and lobbyists are rendered powerless, then much-needed changes to the constitution can be made--like "no taxation without representation", a.k.a. powerful national politicians that 99+ percent of american voters didn't vote for (e.g., pelosi, mcconnell, republican and democratic party bosses, etc.) and PACs like "see crap".
in the next election don't vote for republicans or democrats. hopefully, some day, when the republican party, the democratic party, antiquated party rules, lobbyists and "see crap" PACs are gone, and the constitution has been amended, then we'll ALL be able to vote for candidates who represent us--not their party.
nothing will be better for our country.
the same goes for the news media--stop patronizing biased, sycophant news media that lobby for the republican and democratic parties and their "see crap" PACs, instead of reporting the news factually and truthfully. they'll go out of business. nothing will be better for the USA.
