scary stupid.

to fix our dysfunctional government is simple and easy--stop voting for  republican and democratic party candidates, including incumbents.

in the next election--national, state or local--don't vote for an idiot. don't vote for a republican or a democrat either. the republican and democratic parties have failed us repeatedly with lousy candidates for public office. vote for someone who can get the job done who isn't from the failed republican or democratic parties.  even with their billion dollar donors, if voters don't vote for republicans and democrats, then the republican and democratic parties will shrivel up and die.

nothing will be better for our country than ridding it of the republican and democratic parties.

minds of mush: media--enough already--about jeffrey epstein's sex slave!

Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘sex slave’ seen at Naomi Campbell’s birthday party in 2001

I've seen it now at least a dozen times: jeffrey epstein's sex slave accuser virginia giuffre complaining that she so wanted to see jeffrey epstein convicted in court--and now she can't--because he's dead.

what's the matter with her? epstein's dead. and she's probably going to get millions suing epstein's estate.

and what's the matter with the media that they keep showing her sad story over and over and over and ... again?

answer: because the sex slave and the media are, and epstein was, sick.

our 2-party system of government--the republican and democratic parties--is failing our nation

Opinion: Two days, two mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton, Ohio -- just another weekend in America - Los Angeles Times

these are just the latest two in a LONG list of mass shootings, including the last 6+ years--from newtown, CT in december 2012, where six adults and 20 grade-school-age children were killed by a deranged 20 yr. old gunman with an assault rifle, to the present.

List of mass shootings in the United States - Wikipedia

why haven't our elected representatives from the republican and democratic parties addressed this HUGE problem?
could it be because republicans are too busy blaming democrats, and vice versa?
regardless of their excuse, there is NO excuse for our government representatives' failure to address this HUGE problem.

can any candidate for POTUS claim the moral high ground?

the republican president's daily trashing and poor treatment of friends and enemies, immigrants and citizens, republicans and democrats, other countries, etc. in his tweets and in his daily public and private speech is immoral. his favoring the rich over the poor, his other discriminatory policies and his infidelities are likewise immoral. his support of dictators who deny basic human rights, e.g. north korea, saudi arabia, etc., is immoral. his failure to address gun, environmental and other important issues is immoral.

democrats who support murdering babies even to moments before they are naturally born are immoral. using vitriolic and hateful language in attacking republicans, including the president, is likewise immoral.

regardless of whether it's a republican or a democrat, not telling the truth is immoral.

so, are there any candidates running for president who can claim the moral high ground?
answer: no.

nobody trusts a liar.

who trusts a liar?
answer: nobody.

there are individual liars, corporate liars and national liars.

communist north korea, iran, and russia are examples of national liars. countries that lie use propaganda and disinformation as part of their national policy. needless to say, these countries can't be trusted.

there are companies that lie, e.g. those that say that they will protect your personal information, and don't, or companies that deliberately lie about their products or services. corporate liars can't be trusted.

and there individual liars who can't be trusted either.

The Mueller hearings were a waste of everyone’s time

The Mueller hearings were a waste of everyone’s time

pretty much.

earlier:

"I'm watching the House Mueller inquiry. watching Mueller testify is like watching myself. Mueller is a year and some change older than I am. he doesn't hear so well. he's being bombarded by rapid-fire questions from fast talkers. he's struggling to find the specific reference in the two volume reports that the questioners have before them. He's doing MUCH better than I would be doing under the circumstances. I've peed twice since the hearing began."

at this early date, mark me a "no-show" for the 2020 presidential election--I could change my mind, but the way that things look now, I doubt it.

town of strasburg, va.

"Listing strengths, team members mentioned Strasburg’s variety of small businesses, multiple properties poised for redevelopment, major transportation routes leading in and out of town, a vibrant arts community, and housing developments."

really? maybe the advisory board should take off their rose-colored glasses. have they looked down the town's main street (king st./rte. 11) lately? have they compared it with the main streets (rte. 11) in edinburg, woodstock, middletown and stephens city? strasburg's main street is a mess--pavement, sidewalks.

small businesses? strasburg has a ton of pizza and other fast food joints. one grocery store. a couple of dollar stores. a bunch of antique and consignment shops. what else? well... a tattoo parlor has been approved.

then there's riverwalk...
and

one thing that can be said about strasburg--it probably looks the same today as it did 50 years ago. and, it'll probably look the same in 50 years as it does today.
